We aim to provide the highest quality and timely transfer of critically ill and injured adults who require urgent escalation of clinical care for specialist services, as well as repatriation and load-levelling transfers.
Transfer is hosted by Cambridge University Hospital and proudly working with NHS colleagues from throughout the region.
The service exists to serve patients from every hospital in the East of England. We care for adults over the age of 16 who by way of illness or injury are in need of Intensive Care.
We are governed by, and work in partnership with, a number of organisations -
- Cambridge University Hospitals - our NHS Host Trust and CQC registered authority
- East of England Critical Care Network - representing Intensive Care Units throughout the region
- Specialised Commissioning - our partners from NHS England who provide funding and commissioning oversight
We work closely with the East of England Ambulance Service and St John's Ambulance.
